April has worked in education for most of her adult life. She spent six years as a teacher at the secondary and college level and seven years as the director of a learning center focusing on math and reading instruction. She holds an M.A. in history as well as an M.Ed. in early childhood education and an Ed.D in Curriculum & Instruction. She has worked with students from early childhood through college. She specializes in the subjects of math, reading, English/language arts, social studies/humanities, and education.
Now at the helm of a successful curriculum design and writing business, she helps organizations of all sizes to build and maintain their educational offerings. Her projects have included work for leading educational publishers, educational technology companies, educational intervention providers, and various assessment and curriculum development firms.
April lives in Houston, Texas with her husband, Mr. Fox--the Fox in Petro-Fox Education-- but works remotely with clients from all over the country as well as international clients.
In her free time, she enjoys tennis, strength training, and gemology.
